Conservapedia, del I

Jag inleder här en serie citat från Conservapedia – The Trustworthy Encyclopedia. Det är ett konservativt och bokstavskristet alternativ till Wikipedia som startade i november 2006. Men som jag tidigare påpekat är det inte politik, teologi eller presidentvalet som intresserar Conservapedias användare mest, utan pikanta detaljer om homosexualitet.

Homosexual Agenda

The homosexual agenda, or homosexual ideology, consists of a set of beliefs and objectives. The ideology and goals, as explained further below, include restricting free speech, obtaining special treatment, distorting science, and interfering with freedom of association.

It is an agenda that gay rights activists set in the late 1980s, in a book called After the Ball, where they laid out a six-point plan for how they could transform the beliefs of ordinary Americans with regard to homosexual behavior — in a decade-long time frame:

"The agenda of homosexual activists is basically to change America from what they perceive as looking down on homosexual behavior, to the affirmation of and societal acceptance of homosexual behavior."

Notera den obligatoriska relativiseringen av den homosexuella "ideologin" till ett trossystem. Högerkristna debattörer är mycket noga med att dra paralleller mellan religion som tankesystem, och sekulära företeelser som atiesm, homosexualitet och evolutionsteori. Jag ska så småningom skriva lite mer omfattande om denna märkliga kristna postmodernism, som i princip går ut på att undergräva och ogiltigförklara fenomen och teorier som de är kritiska mot genom att likna dem vid det fenomen som de själva är representanter för, nämligen religionen. Det är ett märkligt sätt att argumentera, eftersom premissen blir att religonen är en nedvärderande och trovärdighetsminskande faktor...
